One could make a serious webcomic using furries. I recommend Forest Hill as an example. At least it’s a real “animal” world and the animal characters actually look rather realistic.
But what gets me about Jack is that it uses cute cartoon animals with big buggy eyes and big stupid noses that look like they would make a noise if you squeezed them in a depressive webcomic full of violence, gore, mutilations, and supernatural horror. It would work if it were done ironically, but the author is perfectly non-ionic and serious about the whole thing.
